Once in a village at a farmer’s house lived a mouse. It caused a lot of trouble for farmer’s wife. One day mouse saw that farmer’s wife was opening a package. Mouse went near to see if it was of food.
But it was devastated to found that it was a mousetrap. Scared mouse retreated to the farmyard.
There he started shouting, “There is a mouse trap in the house..!!”
First mouse went to chicken.
Chicken raised her head and said, “Mouse.. It is a grave concern for you but it would have no consequence to me.. so don’t bother me about it..”
Then scared mouse went to pig.
Pig sympathized with mouse and said, “I am sorry for you but there is nothing i can do about it. ”
Mouse turned to buffalo.
Buffalo replied, “It’s nothing for me to be concerned about.. But still what i can do is just pray for you.. Be assured you are in my prayers.”
Sad mouse returned to house dejected, to face farmer’s mouse trap alone.
Same night a sound was heard through house, it was sound of mousetrap catching it’s prey. Just then farmer’s wife rushed to see if it caught mouse but because of dark she didn’t noticed that it was a venomous snake whose tail was caught in mousetrap.
As soon as farmer’s wife went near it, it bit her. She was rushed to nearest hospital. After treatment she returned home with fever. Doctor suggested for her to eat well.
When she returned to home, Farmer hatchet to farmyard to get chicken to make fresh chicken soup for his wife to treat her fever.
Even after days she didn’t got well and sickness continued. Friends and neighbors came to visit her around the clock. So to feed them farmer had to butchered the pig.
After few days Farmer’s wife died. At her funeral whole village came and this time farmer had to slaughter buffalo to provide enough meat for all of them.
Mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness.
Moral:
We you hear someone is Facing Problem and think it Doesn’t Concern you.. Remember that We are all involved in the Journey called Life together.. When one of us is Threatened, we all are at risk.
We should Help those in Need or Facing Problem. even if it doesn’t Concern Us. because in Life we Never know how things Turn Out at end..
